Plug your OBD2 mini Bluetooth adapter into your car’s OBDII port and turn the ignition on. If your adapter has a power button, press it. Follow these steps to connect:
Pairing Your Device
Step 1: Enable Bluetooth on your phone or tablet and search for available devices. Your OBD2 adapter should appear as “OBDII,” “obd2,” its brand name (e.g., “Viecar,” “VLink”), or a similar identifier. It will never be named after your car brand.
Step 2: Select the adapter to initiate pairing. You’ll likely be prompted for a PIN code. Common codes include “1234,” “0000,” “7890,” and “1111.” Consult your adapter’s documentation if you’re unsure. Android pairing processes may vary slightly across different OS versions.
Connecting in Car Scanner App
Step 1: Open the Car Scanner app and navigate to Settings (gear icon).
Step 2: Tap “Adapter” (or “Connection” in older versions).
Step 3: Choose “Bluetooth” as the connection type.
Step 4: Tap “Select device” and choose your OBD2 adapter from the list.
Step 5: Return to the main screen and tap the “Connect” button. Remember to press your adapter’s power button if it has one.
Subsequent connections only require tapping the “Connect” button. You’ve now successfully connected your Obd2 Mini Bluetooth Pin adapter!
